What Does 21-Free Mean?

The nail polish industry has long relied on a cocktail of chemicals to create long-lasting, vibrant color. Many of these ingredients are known to be harmful — linked to hormone disruption, skin irritation, respiratory issues, and worse.

21-free means we have eliminated 21 of the most concerning ingredients found in conventional nail polish. Not because we had to. Because we chose to.

What We Leave Out

• Formaldehyde Releasers — Preservatives that slowly release formaldehyde, a known carcinogen
• Formaldehyde Resin — Used for adhesion, linked to allergic reactions and skin sensitization

Hormone Disruptors

• Phthalates — Plasticizers linked to hormone disruption and reproductive concerns
• TPP (Triphenyl Phosphate) — A plasticizer with potential endocrine-disrupting effects
• Nonylphenol Ethoxylated — A surfactant with hormone-disrupting properties
